NOTE: Laura is currently limiting postpartum support to those who are also looking for birth support.
In many cultures, the postpartum period is a sacred time dedicated to healing, recovery, and rest. Having a newborn can feel overwhelming, and the monumental identity shift as you transition into parenthood often requires self-care and time to reflect. Everyone wants to hold the baby, but who is holding the parent? A postpartum doula! Laura can offer invaluable support, whether it’s a single shift or regular weekly support. It takes a village, and sometimes the bravest words you can say are “I need help”. Customized support can include:
Birth story debriefing
Mental health support
Holistic remedies
Guidance with infant feeding
General infant care
Baby-wearing education
Cooking, meal prep, and baby-led weaning support
Light housekeeping tasks
Organizing and baby proofing
SLIDING SCALE: $28-$42/hour (plus HST; minimum 3 hours)

As a Registered Prenatal Yoga Teacher and certified Pre/Postnatal Fitness Specialist, Laura believes in the value of movement as a way to prepare your body for labour. Building strength, mobility, and mindfulness are all vital in preventing injury to your pelvic floor and core, as well as creating a deep mind-body connection. This mind-body connection in pregnancy has been shown to improve birth outcomes by decreasing the length of labour and optimizing fetal positioning. Book a group yoga class at The WOMB Guelph here, or contact Laura about one-on-one sessions.
After baby is born, taking time to heal and reconnect with your body is crucial; rest is the most important aspect of this. When you’re ready, Laura can help guide you through gentle sessions to promote connection, increase circulation, and re-build strength. She can also help heal pelvic floor dysfunction and diastasis recti in conjunction with your provider. Join a Baby & Me Yoga class at The WOMB Guelph, or contact to book a private session.
All prenatal and postpartum sessions with Laura incorporate a combination of yoga, release work, and strength training suitable for all fitness levels. One-on-one sessions can be practiced from the comfort of your own home.
SLIDING SCALE: $100-$150/hour (plus HST)

A sliding scale is a tool that allows for a service to be obtained at multiple price points based on the circumstances of the client. The sliding scale represents the idea that financial resources, including income, are not and should not be the only determining factor in whether or not someone can access services/care/etc.
Community-based care is one of my core values, and I believe everyone should have access to doula support regardless of their financial circumstances. For a sliding scale to work it relies on truthfulness and accountability, so I invite each of my clients to be honest with themselves about their financial capacities when deciding on a rate.
